  1. Are all these navigable to barge traffic? I always knew America was lucky with the Mississippi, Ohio, and Missouri network.

  2. I would say they are probably navigable by canoe, but not barges. I've visited the MN origin near "Bemidji" on the map, and could walk across it at that point. I don't think barges go further north than Minneapolis/St. Paul.
